Hey everyone, I’ve got a fun and super easy craft for you today! Summer bookmarks! Really, you could use them any time of the year, not just in the summer… But it’s flowers and shells, sooo if that doesn’t make you think of summer (or spring) I don’t know what will.
Anyway, on to the bookmarks!

1. White Daisy Bookmark

You’ll need
- white paper
- yellow paper
- 2 inch flower puncher (I got mine from Michael’s)
- circle puncher thing
- ribbon
- hot glue gun
If you’re using the flower thing from Michael’s, punch out two paper flowers and glue them together. Then glue the yellow circle in the middle.
With the ribbon, if you’re using a really wide one, just fold it until it’s about 1/4 of an inch wide. Use the hot glue to keep the folded parts of the ribbon down.
If you’re using ribbon that isn’t wide just… regular ribbon then you won’t need to use the hot glue gun. The perks of using the hot glue is that the ribbon is a lot stiffer and won’t flop around as much. But if you’re okay with floppiness, go you!
Hot glue the ribbon onto the back of the flower. Once it’s dry it’s ready to be a bookmark!

2. Blue Daisy bookmark

What you’ll need:
- white paper (or blue if you don’t want to use a marker)
- yellow paper
- flower puncher
- circle puncher
- light and dark purple string
- hot glue gun
- blue marker
- braiding skills
Color the flower with the blue marker before gluing the yellow circle onto it. You don’t have to color the front and back sides of the flower (unless you really want to). But it saves you about five-ten seconds if you just color the front. š
You know, the marker is kinda pointless if you can just use blue paper… but you get a different shade of blue with the marker so it all works out.
For the string part I used a darker purple and a lighter purple because I was in the mood for something dark but still summery?–summerish? I don’t know… Something that looks like summer.
Anyway…
You can make any kind of braid you want. I chose to do a simple three-strand braid, but you can go all crazy with it and do five, ten, or a hundred… except you don’t want it to be too thick…
Once you’ve finished braiding your string, knot the ends and glue it to the back of the flower. Let it dry and you’re done with the second bookmark!
3. Seashell bookmark

You’ll need:
- two seashells that are roughly the same size
- hot glue gun
- blue, yellow, and creamy white string
- more braiding skills
Feels weird not using the flowers this time, doesn’t it?
Braid the three colors together and knot the ends when you’re finished. Also, you’re going to want to leave some string hanging on one of the ends because that’s where you’ll glue the shells.
Glue the shells on top of the string. Make a knot above the shells using the string dangling from it.
And you’re done with the third bookmark!
Doesn’t it feel great to finish something?!
I hope you’ll have a great day!
Aileen
